It is . . . alive!

As the tagline suggests, this is a blog focused on theology, philosophy, books and writing, and culture — from a Christian perspective.  I hope the content will be interesting, informative, thought-provoking, and inspiring.  I welcome  your comments and feedback, and I look forward to future discussions on these fascinating topics.

The phrase “cloud of witnesses” comes from Hebrews 12:1 and refers in context to men and women whose lives illustrated their faithful devotion to God (Heb. 11).  By extension, I believe this cloud also encompasses believers in Christ today and is an image of how we cheer each other on and sharpen each other in our common journey of faith.

With that in mind, I hope to invite many guests to this site to share their perspectives and wisdom, and I will appreciate the feedback of the readers for the same reason.
